Kerdoe Denies Interest In LFA SG Post

By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.

The Technical Director of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) has denied that he is interested in the position of Secretary-General of the LFA.

Mr. La-Marks Kerdoe has been listed among those linked to the post in recent times along with Andy Quamie, Henry Yonton, Napoleon Jaeploe and Jenkins Pelenah.

In his reactions to media reports linking him to the hotly contested job, Mr. Kerdoe said that at no time did he tell anyone about his interest in the position that has been fought over since the March 18, 2006 elections of the LFA.

Following the removal of Yanqueh S. Borsay from the General Secretary post, the LFA President, Cllr. Sombo Izetta Wesley has not been able to find a replacement.

She nominated Malcolm Pegee Wright, an Executive Committee Member from the Liberia Old-timers National Association (LONA), but was turned down by a group of eight Executive Committee members, said to be led by the LFA Vice President for Operations, Adolph Lawrence.

Thereafter, the LFA boss chose John Rufus Ballah, who is also President of the Second Division side Millennium Star, but his nomination is still before the LFA Executive Committee for discussion after the first talks ended in deadlock.
