Karnga Laughs Off Misinformation

The favorite for the post of Vice President for Administration (VPA) of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) has declared that his candidacy has shaken up those with similar intentions, thus leading to an ongoing mission of misinformation.

Mr. Garmondeh Karnga, President of LFA Premier League Champions Mighty Barrolle, stated that as a means of satisfying the curiosity of his rivals, there now exists paid agents who are engaged in the dissemination of falsehood to the sporting public.

“My intention to run is a sign of my willingness to improve football and not on the volition of anybody,” Mr. Karnga made it known.

The hardworking LFA Executive Committee Member continued, “After my declaration, I have been commended by those who petitioned me. Instead of running my own campaign, stakeholders are doing so on.”

The Mighty Barrolle President urged his challengers to lend him their support if they all want to see Liberian football grow to the extent that the national football team can reach the 2012 African Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

“The position of Vice President for Administration needs someone who manages his own time and activities. You may not have the opportunity to serve in this capacity when you are an employee and always have to answer to the call of your boss elsewhere. For my case, I am an employer, thus giving me the edge in this contest,” mentioned further Mr. Karnga.

“Since I manage my own time and activities, I have therefore decided to help Liberian football,” Mr. Karnga noted.

The Mighty Barrolle boss then described as fallacy reports that players of his basketball side are owed 16 months in salaries.

According to Mr. Karnga, the report appeared strange in that he, being the person who shoulders 99 percent of the responsibilities of Mighty Barrolle, has just recently settled two months each to his players.

He explained that Mighty Barrolle in its scope of operation has always given priority to a set of team that is in active competition. As a result, he added that when the football squad was working towards winning the league crown, serious attention was placed on the soccer side, thus leading the team being indebted to the basketball players for six months, contrary to reports of sixteen months. He said with the settlement of two months, he is only aware that players of the basketball side are being owed four months.

“Now that the football team is not actively involved in any competition, we have given serious priority to the basketball team which is currently involved in the ongoing national league. We have decided to pay the two months in order to boost the participation of the team in basketball championship. We are contemplating paying the rest very shortly.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Karnga indicated that he still remains the legitimate President of Mighty Barrolle and that it would be no secret whenever he decides to leave the Rollers job.
