In an attempt to have superior leadership at the
Liberia Football Association (LFA), especially at a position which
duty is to supervise the local football house secretariat which runs
the day to day affairs of the LFA, veteran Liberian sports
administrator and President of LFA 2009 premiership champions, Mighty
Barrolle, Mr. Garmondeh Karnga will declare his intention to contest
the forthcoming LFA elections as Vice President for Administration (VPA).
According to Mr. Karnga, more than ten media
institutions and a host of LFA stakeholders will meet this Thursday,
February 18, 2010 at a local hotel as he formerly declares his
intention for the second highest position of the local football house.
Mr. Karnga, a hard working administrator, who is
also Chairman of the LFA Sub-Association, Cochairman of the LFA
competitions committee and the most decorated LFA premier club
president, is the ideal stakeholder to occupy the LFA VPA post.
With the game dieing a natural death and soon to
be interred in a country that has the enviable record of producing
African football legend, George Oppong Manneh Weah, who showcased his
talent in Europe where he became FIFA world footballer of the year
1995 as well as other lucrative awards, there is a need to bring on
board administrators at the helm of the country's football who have
the urge, desire and commitment in driving the country's game forward
with Mighty Barrolle Boss, Garmondeh Karnga being one of the best
brains to run the world’s popular sport in this part of the world .
With the incumbent LFA VPA, Mr. Pennoh Bestman
being very inefficient and lackadaisical at job at the local football
house, where he pays more attention on his lucrative job as deputy
Manager at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) and as well,
probably lacking vision and innovation as LFA VPA, Karnga, the
workaholic will certainly be the right person for such crucial
position as we all strive to take Liberian football to higher heights.
It is an undutiful truth and quite picturesque
that football remains the safest bastion to peace, unity and
reconciliation in our war ravaged nation Liberia.
After years of imbroglio where the civil
holocaust brought untold sufferings to people, Liberians have always
seen football as a major catalyst in making them unified as they aim
to forget the past.
On the local scene, football crazy followers
spread at various clubs performing various functions as they yearn to
see their respective clubs reign supreme in contemporary Liberian
football via the Liberia Football Association (LFA) national league
that is normally played at various venues.
The coming to the fore of Mighty Barrolle
President, Mr. Karnga as LFA VPA will undoubtedly add value that
indeed football remains the safest bastion to peace, unity and
reconciliation in our war ravaged nation Liberia.
