Winning 3-0 each in two matches is something that places Karn United among the best teams in the ongoing National League. But, winning two matches from a total of 26 matches at hand is not enough reasons why Mr. Samuel Karn thinks his players should be conquered by complacency.

Speaking to our reporter after his team ended its training session on Tuesday at the former Barclay Training Center (BTC), the Karn United patron, Samuel Karn said, "our chances are bright."

He put the team's good performance on the availability of some players who have had experience in both first and second divisions.

Mr. Karn noted that his team will take its next matches seriously because, according to him, there are 24 more matches at hand for the Karn United.

"We will not feel complacent," said Mr. Karn whose club is witnessing its second successive year in the second division.

Addressing his players on the same day, Mr. Karn urged them to play to the best of their ability so as to ensure the team's qualification to the first division.

"Play for yourself because people or national coaches are watching," added Mr. Karn.

"You can better improve yourself and be a good ambassador," Mr. Karn told the players.

The Karn United have become the talk of the 2003 National League following a brilliant performance so far.

On Saturday, April 19, Karn United shocked Logan Town based Small Town International 3-0 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in its first game.

While many perceived that the victory came by chance, Karn United grabbed another Logan Town based side Devereux and walked away with similar 3-0 victory.

On May 10, Karn United plays its next match against Sounjata Warriors which also emerged from the Logan Town third division league.

Mr. Karn has told his boys to take the match with Sounjata Warriors very serious obviously because the latter, despite being a division two new comer, plays good soccer.

Sounjata Warriors won its first match 5-0 when it played Gardnersville club Haja FC on April 17.

Ten days later, Sounjata handed LTC Satellites a 1-0 defeat.

The two results mean both Sounjata Warriors and Karn United are tied on six points and six goals each respectively.
