Karn United Eyes Knockout Title

By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.

The second division side Karn United has vowed to lift the ongoing knockout championship title.

Karn United owner Samuel Karn and club President Jacob Bandiyu has tipped their team for the trophy.

They placed their confidence on the team’s impressive record this season, having failed to lose in both league and knockout championships.

The team will meet Bassa Defender, which threw out Alliance FC, on Sunday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in the semi final of the competition.

Karn United brushed aside division two rivals St. Joseph Warriors in the quarter-finals.

The team, which is second on the division two table, has also eliminated Barracks Young Controllers (BYC) and Millennium Star.

For the match on Sunday, the likes of top striker Boakai Foday, stubborn defender Emmanuel Gray and magic hands Sam Doe are all prepared for the showdown.

Meanwhile, on Saturday LISCR FC will take on surprise package Zelors in the first semi final match.

Before reaching this stage, Zelors ousted league champions LPRC Oilers and reigning knockout holder Mighty Blue Angels.

LISCR FC eliminated the likes of NPA Anchors and Monrovia Club Breweries
