Kadalah Names 14 Foreign-Based Players

The technical manager of the National Football Team, the Lone Star,
Kadalah Kromah has named 14 professionals for the match against
Ethiopia in the ongoing 2004 Nations ’ Cup qualifiers.
In a chat with our Correspondent, Manager Kromah said he needs the
players to ensure that the Lone Star qualifies for the Nations ’ Cup
finals slated for Tunisia in 2004. " If our request is not met, I am
afraid that we will not make it because our local boys are not being
given the needed international exposure. "
He said the local players are equally talented but needed to be given
the opportunity to international test matches to enable them cope with
the pressure of international competitions.
Those foreign-based players named for the forthcoming match are Zizi
Roberts (USA), Frank Seator (Tunisia), Oliver Makor (Greece), George
Gebro (Greece), Bill Neewray (Switzerland), Alvin " Power " Kie
(Cyprus), Larmin Ousman (Sweden), Edward " Zico " Dixon (France),
Prince Daye (Tunisia), Dulee Johnson(Sweden), Dioh Williams (Sweden),
Jimmy Dixon (Sweden), Ben Tikloh (Cameroon)and Kelvin Sebwe (UAE).
Meanwhile, Zizi Roberts, Frank Seator, Oliver Makor and Kelvin Sebwe
selection is the third since the Mali Nations ’ Cup finals, but the
players failed to show up for the matches against Guinea, Niger and
Ethiopia.
There are reports that Zizi Roberts had engaged in a campaign to have
most of his colleagues come back to the Lone Star and help it qualify
for the 2004 Nations ’ Cup finals.
In a related development, the local-based players are currently
undergoing training at the ATS in preparation for the Ethiopia match.
Also the U-23 team is also training for their match against the Black
Meteors of Ghana.
