One of the candidates vying for the presidency of the
Liberia Referees Association (LIFRA), Mr. Idrissa Kaba has cautioned
football referees in the country to make good judgment as they would
be going to the polls to elect a new corps of officers.
Speaking to a group of referees at his Benson
Street residence, Mr. Kaba said, though the association needs a speedy
recovery, experience to handle the affairs of the association should
be considered by the referees.
The former Liberia chief referee said, he is willing to
do everything that will once more lift LIFRA to its former status,
boasting that he has a vast experience to once more lead the
association.
He noted that under his administration, every
local referee will have the chance to travel three times annually,
thereby giving them international exposure.
Mr. Kaba promised to empower referees if elected
as president of LIFRA, adding that with his national and international
skills, the improvement of the association is sure.
He asked referees who were present to
give him their support as he stands to take LIFRA to another level,
first time in its history.
