Joe Nagbe
Returns To The Pitch!
-As LFA
League Heats Up

By Roland M. Mulbah
Former Lone Star defender and Captain, Joe Armstrong Nagbe has
returned to football once again after announcing his retirement few
years ago and turning to coaching.
The former Liberian International, who is the head coach of Liberia
Football Association (LFA) premier outfit Football Club Azziz Kara (FAAK),
played in the 2-2 draw yesterday against LFA newly promoted premier
club Adorence FC after his side took a 2-0 lead at the Antoinette
Tubman Stadium (ATS).
Joe played in the middle of the park and proved some supremacy
against Adorence FC.

FC AK took a 2-0 lead in the first 15 minutes through danger man
Dewh Allison who completed a brace, but former Gardnersville FC
versatile player Togar Jackson reduced the Musa Shannon’s boys lead
after a superb shot in the 28th minutes of the first half as the
half ended 2-1.
Back from recess, Adorence mounted more pressure and equalized in
the 65th minutes through a solo drive from George kerkolar to end
the match 2-2
After the match, Joe told Liberiansoccer.com “It was not my
intention to play, but due to some lackadaisical actions from some
FC AK players, I decided to get back on the pitch. My intention is
to make FC AK a formidable side in the LFA league and not to play,”
he noted.
In other match played in the LFA premiership, Liberia’s darling club
Invincible Eleven (IE) and NPA Anchors settled to a 0-0 draw while
Watanga FC edged Devereux FC 1-0.
The league continues today with more spectacular matches.
In the only match at the ATS, Garmondeh Karnga’s Mighty Barrolle
will engage another newly premier club Jubilee FC, USA FC will take
on BYC, while Margibi County based premier club Mighty Blue Angels
battle MC Breweries.
