JOE NAGBE FINDS FUTURE IN INDONESIA

Former Liberia Football team Captain Joe Nagbe is in Indonesia searching dreadfully for a probable return to International football.

The 35 year-old who lately fielded for Paok Solinika of the Greek Division I League, perceives prospects in the Asian country and has been making frantic efforts with some Clubs in Indonesia.

But as though his efforts weren’t sufficient to overcome stretched rancor with his ex- Greek Clubs, the defending Indonesian Premium League Champions Petrokimia Putra declined in registering the Liberian utility player.

Although he had shown an ideal set of soccer maturity and exposure during his brief stint with the club, the Technical Staff was still doubtful of how long will he be able to flare.

Joe Nagbe who turns 36 year-old on September 2, 2003 has age as a factor affecting his signing as most clubs even in Europe are now opting for players that would be fit for next five years.

According to reports gathered by Liberiansoccer, the former Lone Star utility player also had a few training sessions with another Premium Club, PSDS Deli Serdang just before the commencement of the 2003 Indonesian Premium Season, but their reaction was similar to that of Petrokimia Putra.

Meanwhile, latest updates from Indonesia have it that Joe Nagbe is now training with a couple of First Division clubs ahead of the League late next month.

PSIM JOGJAKARTA, the club of former Junior Professional’s livewire, Roberto Kwarteh, looks likely to sign the mature Liberian player who has nothing to prove as far football in Indonesia is concerned.
