Jimmy Dixon Out Of Lone Star, Zimbabwe Clash

Liberia’s Turkish base defender Jimmy Dixon will not be traveling to Harare for Liberia away Nations cup qualifiers with Zimbabwe next weekend.

According to details from an email sent to  Liberiansoccer.com and the Liberia Football Association (LFA) revealed that Jimmy Dixon is recovering from an injury and is not match fit to line-up for the Lone Star


The club said in the mail to the Liberia Football Association Secretary General Idrissa Kaba that from the Turkish club: “We would like to inform you about our player JIMMY DIXON.Our player is getting medical treatment for ten days and in this ten days period he did not train with the club and as you can understand the player is far away from his real shape. Two days ago he resumed full training the team but from what we saw in the training he has still the effect from the long termed injury.

After informing you about the injury of our player we kindly would like to tell you we are in no position to release now and also we will send you the entire medical that confirm that the player received medical treatment for a very long time”.

The national team of Liberia will than depend of international Patrick Gefthart from Bonsia, Teah Dennis of local side BYC and Solomon Wisseh of LPRC Oilers to draw up it two central defenders.
