At the same time, foreign based players who are on vacation in the coiuntry have been asked to meet with the U-23 techincal staff.

Though no details of the call are not available yet, it is believed to be centered around their likely inclusion in the team.

Liberia is placed in a group with Cameroon, Rwanda and Equatorial Guinea.

It can be recalled that recently the Ministry of Youths and Sports (MYS) comminuicated to the Liberia Football Association (LFA) calling for the withdarwal of the various national teams, the U-17, U-20, U-23 and the senior national team (Lone Star).

Reason given by the Ministry was that the caliber of Liberian players for the international competitions is not available.

But most of Liberia's foreign players are now plying their trade in the Asian league, which some officials of the MYS said is not strong enough for Liberia to rely on their professional playing in Asian countries.

Full details of the formation of the new Lone Star will lighted in the Saturday edition of The Analyst Sports.
