The head coach of the Under-23 national team says he will rest his hope on local based players.

Frank Jericho Nagbe told Star Radio that following weeks of training he was satisfied with the output of the local team.

He stated the local players have understood the system and were ready to surprise the nation. Coach Nagbe said he could likely considered the possibility of inviting professional players.

However, football analysts and football fans that have been following the build up of the team think the coach is out for a joke.

At the sametime, Liberian international Kelvin Sebwe wants football authorities to increase the number of professional players for the Lone Star first qualifying round game.

Kelvin Sebwe wants the LFA and Sports Ministry to consider at least eight players from aboard.

He told Star Radio from his base in Greece that Liberia needed to win her first qualifying round game.

There are plans by the technical staff and football authorities to bring in five professional players.
