Liberia Football Association (LFA) premier club
Watanga FC senior goaltender, Jackson Wleh Donyan has returned to
competitive football after a season on the sideline due to
suspension.
The shots stopper, who was transferred to another premier outfit
LISCR FC in 2008, was suspended by the club president Mr. Mustapha
Raji after, according to information he was lackadaisical during
training.
The suspension of the gem between the sticks has been lifted and he
has made a moved back to his former team where he is yet to concede
goal in the on going LFA Premiership.
The Liberian International goaltender during the days of Frank
Jericho Nagbe has promised to make an impact in an attempt to see
his team Watanga FC gain silver wear at the end of the LFA
premiership.
“It’s good to be back after a season on the sideline due to
unwarranted suspension by LISCR FC. My aim now is to help my team
Watanga FC make significant impact in the ongoing LFA league where
we are great contender for the championship,” the Watanga FC goalie
and Captain noted.
Jackson is expected to lead Watanga FC today against LPRC Oilers in
Unification Town in continuation of the LFA prmiership.
The oil boys are seated second on the LFA premier log with10 points,
but will face a tough Watanga FC who seats at fourth place with
seven points.
Jackson feels the match is being considered a must win encounter for
the Musa Bility’s boys in an attempt to secure top spot.
“The match is important for us because it could take us at the top
of the league table. We know the oil boys are strong, but we have
been on top of our games in recent times which make matters
difficult for them,” the Watanga FC goalie noted.
Meanwhile, Jackson has wish LISCR FC well in their quest for silver
wear. The lad said he holds nothing against the club’s president Mr.
Raji and he remain grateful to him for lifting his suspension.
“I respect Mr. Raji and I hold nothing against him. I want to use
this medium to thank him or putting my career back on course,” he
noted.
