Italian And American Club Keen
On Amadaiya

Amadaiya Rennie (CApt. Liberia Nat. U-20)
Italian Serie A' club Siena and USL First Division
outfit Portland Timbers have invited Sublime dribbler
cum young live wire Amadaiya Rennie for trials.
The teenager who is currently wooing fans in Werri,
Delta State Nigeria, where the Liberia National U-20 is
competing with a host of other countries in the WAFU
tournament already has a goal to his name after rattling
the net against Niger in his side 1-1 tie, is expected
to leave for either the United States or Italy later
this month or early January for the justification
exercise.
According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the
United States based organization Sports to Develop
Destitute (SDU), Emmanuel Geeza Williams, both clubs
have monitored the activities of the skills workshop for
some time now, and are keen to lure him at their
respective clubs.
Speaking to Liberiansoccer.com he further noted "I have
been working with other promoters or agents in Monrovia
who have been furnishing me with information on the
players that are making impact on the local scene".
Mr. Williams who have been in the vanguard of the
promotion of a host of Liberian players overseas,
has already made it possible for ex-Ghanaian
international defender Samuel Osei Kuffour to move to
the States, and is finalizing arrangement with MLS side
Chicago Fire for the player to sign on with the club.
The Mighty Barrolle starlet, Rennie is regarded as the
best player on the local scene at the moment, as his
conjuring ball skills, deft touches, mazy runs and
clinical finishing become nightmare for the opposition.
This towering prodigy came to the fore whern he styled
for Gardnersvlle Third Division outfit Manchester United
before moving to Vikings in the same community.
After making in-roads, he fell in the nest of elite sie
LISCR FC where he impressed.
After three seasons, the budding star joined ranks with
Liberia's most accomplished club (as far as CAF
competitions are concerned), LPRC Oilers.
He was forced to join Mighty Barrolle after the Oilers
joined other clubs in refusing to partake in the
recently concluded Liberia Football Association (LFA) awkwardly
arranged national league.
The danger kid was the Most Valuable Player in the LFA
2007 premiership after his explosive form with the Oile
boys where he netted in 16 goals and provided ten
assists that season.
Due to his lanky posture, bag of skills, box of tricks
and precision in the box, some say he is the Liberian
Zlatan Ibrahimovic while others say he is the local
Emmanuel Olusheyi Adebayor.
