In LFA Premier League:
Invincible Eleven (IE) Clinches First Victory

May 23, 2003
One of Liberia’s oldest club, Invincible Eleven (IE) on Sunday, May 18
recorded its first victory in the newly inaugurated Premier League of
the Liberia Football Association.
Philip Doe’s lone goal under just five minutes secured the victory for the
Yellow Boys, IE over Mark Professionals. Mark Professional is the only
team yet to salvage a point in the eight-team Premier League.
Although there were numerous and golden chances created by IE, the
players failed to convert into goal the opportunities.
In continuation of the contest during the weekend, LPRC Oilers forced
BUSA to an unbelievable 1-1 draw. BUSA took the lead in the 17th
minute from the penalty spot through midfielder Ousman Dorley. That
lead however, was surrendered in the 88th minute when Liberian
international Isaac Tondo’s free kick flipped on the head of BUSA’s
defender, Hilai Lahai for the equalizer.
LISCR FC crushed Alliance FC, 3-0 on Saturday. Another Liberian
international Henry Gobah gave LISCR FC the lead in the 19th minute.
Hoff Fannoh, last year first division top scorer scored twice to
secure victory in the second half.
Fannoh now tops the Premier League scoring chart with three goals from
three games played. He is followed by Isaac Tondo of LPRC Oilers,
Samuel Momo of Monrovia Breweries and Henry Gobah of LISCR FC.
