The credibility and competence of Liberian referees have been tested by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

According to a communication to the Liberia Football Association (LFA) from CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt signed by CAF President and chairman on referee committee Farah Addo of Somalia, three Liberian referees will take charge of the crucial African Nations Cup qualifier between Sierra Leone and Morocco.

The communication indicated that the chief referee of Liberia, Idrissa Kaba, would be the man in the middle when the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone host the Atlas Lions of Morocco at the Siaka Probyn Stevens Stadium in Freetown. Kaba will be assisted Sylvester Dorbor Rennie and Buster Snyder as assistant referees.

The match is a crucial one that neither side can afford to lose considering the fact that Sierra Leone and Morocco lead Group Seven with six points each from two matches.

Earlier, Morocco won Gabon 1﷓0 in Libreville and crushed Equatorial Guinea 5﷓0 at home.

On the other hand, the Leone Stars beat Equatorial Guinea 3﷓1 in Malabo before outclassing Gabon 2﷓0 in Freetown.

While Sierra Leone faces Morocco in Freetown, Gabon will be host of Equatorial Guinea in Libreville.
