Who's Through To The Playoffs?
The Liberia Basketball federation (LBF) National League rages on with
teams canceling out each other for a place in this year playoffs.
In the female category, the four clubs for the mouth-watering playoffs
are now known. K-Deltas are at the top of the table with 19 points,
closely followed by Commissioners with 17points. Timber Wolves and
Phoenix are in the third and fourth position with 13 and 14 points
respectively.
In continuation of the league, league leaders K-Deltas will lock horns
with Timber Wolves, while Commissioners and Phoenix will sort things
out in the final playoffs fixture shortly.
In the male title chase, LPRC-Oilers are in pole position with
19points. Mighty Barrolle and Uhuru Kings have 18points each.
NPA-Pythons lie at the fourth spot with 15point while Invincible
Eleven is fifth with 14points followed by Bushrod Bulls and Holy
Family with 11points respectively.
There are currently 6 outstanding games in the Premiership. The
fixture involves Pythons versus Bushrod Bulls, Pythons versus
LPRC-Oilers, Pythons versus Holy Family, Invincible Eleven versus
Bushrod Bulls, Barrolle and Uhuru Kings and Barrolle versus Invincible
Eleven.
These outstanding matches when played would determine the teams that
will book tickets for male playoffs.
In a related development, the league continued over the weekend with
several crunch pairings. On Saturday in the first division Flames
trounced Supreme Brother 134 to 39points. In the second division
pairing, venture Knights dumped Uhuru Prince 70 to 86points, while
Mighty Barrolle silenced Oilers 88 to 76points.
The league heated up on Sunday with T-Chorns getting the better of Don
Bosco 73 to 66points, and in the day's final fixture, Invincible
Eleven was drubbed by Uhuru Kings 72 to 80points.
On Monday, K-Deltas drowned Commissioners 55 to 40points. In a second
division account, Island Worries fell to Heats 33 to 44points. The
last match of the day saw Mighty Barrolle edging out Holy Family 75 to
65points in front a huge crowd.
The first place team at the premiership table will engage the third
place side while the second place side will wrestle with the fourth
place side in playoffs fixture.
