 I. E. suffers set back

Reported by Horatio Bobby Willie

Invincible Eleven hope of securing a return to the top flight has suffered a set back.

IE needed two late goals to force Barrack Young Controllers to a 2-2 draw.

The draw means that the yellow boys will have to wait on results from two other contenders.

Mombo Sonpon put BYC ahead after 23 minutes from a penalty kick before Grant Targbwe extended the lead in the 72nd minute.

Lincoln Gataie reduced the tally in the 87th minute.

A late blunder by the goalkeeper of BYC saw Kpannyen Doe hitting home the equalizer for Invincible Eleven in stoppage time.

The draw leaves IE with 19 points and they are struggling behind Mighty Blue Angels and Gedi & Sons FC.

Earlier in the second division, Exodus FC and Paynesville Young Controllers managed a goalless draw.

Second division league leaders Devereaux FC went down 1-0 to Haja FC at the D.Tweh Field in New Kru Town.
