IE failed to Show Up for game with Barrolle

December 31, 2005

By: Horatio Bobby Willie

A special football tournament involving the nation’s traditional soccer rivals failed to get underway on Friday.

It was due to the failure of Invincible Eleven to show up for the game.

IE officials blamed the team’s administrative manager for the inability to feature in the game.

Many soccer fans left the Antoinette Tubman Stadium disappointed.

They wondered whether IE has an administration that has control over its playing team.

An IE official Solomon Samu regretted the situation and promised to deal with those that caused the embarrassment.

The competition is set to get underway later today.

First division Invincible Eleven and premiership club Mighty Barrolle will battle for three days.

An official of Barrolle told Star Radio they want to reawaken the spirit of the two teams.

Mr. Kellie Miller said they also want to raise money for the teams.
Both IE and Barrolle are rocked by financial crisis.
