IE To Boycott
National League If…

Players of Liberia darling club, Invincible
Eleven (IE) have threatened to boycott the ongoing Liberia Football
association (LFA) premiership if officials of the yellow and blue
outfit continued their lackadaisical attitude toward the team.
In an interview with this website, Captain Joseph
Kelee Hina, accompanied by Vice Captain Markson Gray as well as Coach
Player James Teahn said officials of IE have turned their backs on the
club even though the club has gained its winning spirit in the second
phase of the current campaign.
The players said, the team lacks finance for
transportation and players per dim as well as equipments to compete
for the title challenge.
The players told Liberiansoccer.com that,
the club’s officials have widened the situation by refusing to answer
players’ phone call.
“We will boycott the national league if officials
of IE failed to pay attention to us.
‘For the past, we have been transporting
ourselves for training and games and we believe this act is not in the
interest of competing for the title chase.
“Our president and other officials have failed to
come to our need for quite a protracted period and this may lead to
boycott action,” the players noted in a rather angry manner.
Meanwhile, Players of IE have commended Mr.
Alfred Siryon for coming to their need last week when they visited D.
Tweh pitch and thrashed Monrovia Club Breweries with a 1-0 score line
in continuation of the LFA premiership.
The players said other fans and supporters of IE
must now emulate the fine example of Mr. Siryon to see the yellow boys
bounce back for the title challenge.
The players further explained that Mr. Siryon
took care of all financial responsibilities as they won Breweries.
It can be recollected weeks ago, the Chairman of
the National Investment Commission (NIC), Dr. Richard Tolbert visited
IE training ground and may some contributions.
The players said “We must commend D. Tolbert for
his assistance, but we believe more need to be done.
“He told us he will always come around, but there
are reports that some members of the Board don’t want him around the
team,” the players noted.
For the past, individuals have used IE and
Barrolle to gain national prominence and as soon as their aims are
accomplish, they leave the teams struggling.
IE is on record as one of the top flight teams
with some top rated officials both in government and private sectors,
but almost have turned their backs on the yellow and blue outfit.
All effort to contact IE president, Mr. Madison Tokpah regarding his
players’ concern did not work out as his phone rank continuously
without answer.
