IE To Boycott National League If…

Players of Liberia darling club, Invincible Eleven (IE) have threatened to boycott the ongoing Liberia Football association (LFA) premiership if officials of the yellow and blue outfit continued their lackadaisical attitude toward the team.

In an interview with this website, Captain Joseph Kelee Hina, accompanied by Vice Captain Markson Gray as well as Coach Player James Teahn said officials of IE have turned their backs on the club even though the club has gained its winning spirit in the second phase of the current campaign.

The players said, the team lacks finance for transportation and players per dim as well as equipments to compete for the title challenge.

The players told Liberiansoccer.com  that, the club’s officials have widened the situation by refusing to answer players’ phone call.

“We will boycott the national league if officials of IE failed to pay attention to us.

‘For the past, we have been transporting ourselves for training and games and we believe this act is not in the interest of competing for the title chase.

“Our president and other officials have failed to come to our need for quite a protracted period and this may lead to boycott action,” the players noted in a rather angry manner.

Meanwhile, Players of IE have commended Mr. Alfred Siryon for coming to their need last week when they visited D. Tweh pitch and thrashed Monrovia Club Breweries with a 1-0 score line in continuation of the LFA premiership.

The players said other fans and supporters of IE must now emulate the fine example of Mr. Siryon to see the yellow boys bounce back for the title challenge.

The players further explained that Mr. Siryon took care of all financial responsibilities as they won Breweries.

It can be recollected weeks ago, the Chairman of the National Investment Commission (NIC), Dr. Richard Tolbert visited IE training ground and may some contributions.

The players said “We must commend D. Tolbert for his assistance, but we believe more need to be done.

“He told us he will always come around, but there are reports that some members of the Board don’t want him around the team,” the players noted.

 For the past, individuals have used IE and Barrolle to gain national prominence and as soon as their aims are accomplish, they leave the teams struggling.

IE is on record as one of the top flight teams with some top rated officials both in government and private sectors, but almost have turned their backs on the yellow and blue outfit. 

 All effort to contact IE president, Mr. Madison Tokpah regarding his players’ concern did not work out as his phone rank continuously without answer.
