Roland M. Mulbah brings the round-up of the league that is
getting more attractive.
Liberia’s darling club, Invincible Eleven (IE) bounced back with her
first win of the season with a 4-1 victory over LFA most religious
premier club Jubilee FC at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in
Monrovia.
A brace from Captain Joseph Kelleh Hina and one each from Markson
Gray and Dede Maclin saw the yellow family ending win drought to the
star of the campaign.
IE has had a poor start to the LFA premiership with four points from
five matches before the 4-1 win.
The win saw IE climbed a litter with seven points.
In other matches played over the weekend, Mustapha Raji’s LISCR FC
nightmare continued when the LFA two times knock-out champions went
down 1-0 to rejuvenated Monrovia Club Breweries at the D. Tweh
sports pitch in New Kru Town.
LISCR former trainee and LFA 2007 best defender, Victor Kumeh broke
the deadlock in the eleventh minute of the match.
Defending champions Black Star also continued her lackluster
performance when the Pennoh Bestman boys’ were beaten 2-0 by Margibi
County based Mighty Blue Angel at the Unification Town pitch in
Margibi County.
Mohammed Varney scored his sixth goal of the season before Jerry
Jimmy netted the other.
In Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County, Mighty Barrolle maintained
third place with a 1-0 win over bottom of the table Devereux FC.
Thanks to Little Lewis who rattled the net in the second half to see
Garmondeh Karnga’s Barrolle achieve the feat.
Gedi and Sons could only manage a 1-1 draw in Kakata, Margibi County
against NPA Anchors.
The league continues tomorrow with more exciting matches.
