Invincible Eleven (IE) became the first team to clinch three points in
the Premier League in the just began Liberia Football Association
(LFA) National League.
On Sunday, IE beat Monrovia Club Breweries, 1-0 with the lone coming
from veteran striker, Tony Bracewell. IE has therefore clinched three
points ahead of LPRC Oilers who drew their league opener with Shoes
FC, 1-1.
Mighty Barrolle is yet to play, but her chase comes on next weekend.
In other league matches over the weekend, LISCR FC and Alliance FC
played to a 1-1 draw with Socrates Boyenneh (Alliance) and Swen Kumeh
(LISCR) getting the goals for their respective clubs.
In the first division, Watanga FC went down to Bassa Defenders, 3-1
with goals coming from James Roberts, Timothy Davis and Peter Diggs,
while Samuel McGee scored Watanga's lone goal.
In the second division, Juventus Olympic beat Mighty Electrons, 2-0
with goals coming from Harris Frank and Prince Kilby.
In the female division, Blanco FC walloped World Girls, 7-0. Annette
Parson got a goal, while Yeanie
George got two, Cecelia Sibo got one and Iaveline Tolbert got a
hat-trick
