I.E Officials On Rescue Mission - Call For Support

March 29, 2005

Two top officials of Invincible Eleven Majestic Sports Association (IEMSA) are said to be making frantic effort in mobilizing support for the club.

At a joint press conference over the weekend, the Vice President for fans Clubs, Mohammed Sheriff, and the Head of I.E. Chapters and Branches, Mr. E. Momolu, said the team was facing a series of financial difficulties and needs support from all its fans.

Mr. Sheriff said Fans of the club should begin to act now if the team is making a significant effect in the ongoing Liberia Football Association (LFA) Premiership League.

According to him and because of the lack of fund, the team was finding it difficult to begin its regular practice session since the commencement of the league.

The I.E. VPF further pointed out that those Fans of the club should see themselves as owners of the team, adding that only their support can move the team forward.

For his part the Head of I.E Chapters and Branches, Mr. E. Momolu, noted that the survival of the team lies in the hands of the fans.

Mr. Momolu said sitting on the fence and criticizing others will not help the growth of the team and as such, the fans should help the team.

He maintained that the only thing the fans can decide to achieve is the total success of the team by coming with supports required for such success.

The comments of the two I.E. officials come at the time, when the team has suffered from two defeats in the LFA Premiership league.

At the same time players of the team have already accused the club's President, Isaac Nyenabo, for coming to leadership for Political gain.

I.E President Isaac Nyenabo earlier said his coming to the club was not for political gain but is presently running to be senator of Grand Gedeh during the forthcoming local and presidential elections.
