Henry Blake hits Scoring Form in Sweden

Liberian player Henry Blake has been in scoring form in the Swedish 2nd division league.

Henry Blake score three times in his club Torslanda IK last two league matches. The player scored in the club’s 1-1 draw on September 9.

Sandareds held Torslanda to a home draw. Blake scored in the 44th minute during that game.

On September 2,the Liberian came on as a substitute to lead Torslanda to victory.

The club was being led 1-0 by Varbergs Bois when he came on in the 46th minute of the game.

Henry Blake made his presence felt in the 48th minute when he found the equalizer for his team.


Torslanda website reports that Blake scored the match winner in the 57th minute from a brilliant effort set up by fellow Liberian Natus Ponnie.


Torslanda is in now sitting at the top of the 2nd division table with 31 points from 16 games. Henry Blake was the first Liberian to arrive in Sweden to play professional football.
