Reports reaching Star Radio say the government of Liberia has extended the contract of the head coach of the national team.

Sources at the Sports Ministry say the contract of Coach Antoine Hey has been extended by one year.

The sources did not say whether there have been increases in the salary and incentives o the German.

Coach Hey currently earns ten thousand United States Dollars a month along with a vehicle and a well furnished apartment.

The Lone Star Communication Corporation is providing the coach one year salary.

The extension of Coach Hey’s contract comes at the time some football technicians are calling for his dismissal due to the Lone Star poor showing in the current nation’s cup and world cup qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the Manager of Bench FC has welcomed the decision by government to keep Coach Antoine Hey for another year.

Mr. Thomas Neuville believes the action will help Liberia build a formidable team in the next three years.

Mr. Neuville has also frowned on those who are calling for the dismissal of the Coach Hey.

The Bench FC Manager wants Coach to place focus on building the country’s home based team.
