German Gov’t Donates to LFA

The government of Germany, through its ambassador accredited near Monrovia, has made a donation of football materials to the Liberia Football Association (LFA). The donation was made on Monday September 25, 2006 at the headquarters of the Liberia Football Association ( LFA) on the United Nations Drive.

The items donated by the German government include one hundred pieces of footballs, ten sets of goal post nets, twenty nine ball pumps and thirty one pieces of ball nets.

Other items donated are forty-nine pieces of whistles, forty pieces of T-shirts, forty pieces shorts and forty pieces of socks.

The items were donated in the presence of LFA president, Cllr. S. Izetta Wesley, her vice president and secretary general as well some members of the executive committee.

Receiving the items the local football authority expressed sincere gratitude to the German government and the people of Germany for the gesture. The local football house said the items will be used for the intended purpose.
