Gedi Falls To Oilers!

Liberia Football Association (LFA) youthful premier outfit, Gedi and Sons went down to Gabriel Johns’ LPRC Oilers 4-3 in penalty kicks in the LFA 2009 knockout competition after regular time ended black.

The match took place Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.

Alvin Dixon scored the crucial penalty for Oilers, while LFA premiership best goalkeeper hopeful, Saylee Swen saved Gedi and Sons Thomas Koko’s penalty as the gold and black outfit booked a place in the LFA 2009 knockout semifinal.

The 2005 LFA premiership champions will now face either winner from the other quarterfinal match between Mighty Barrolle and Monrovia Club Breweries scheduled for today.
