By Roland M. Mulbah rolandmulbah@liberiansoccer.com

Patrick Garwo’s Gedi and Sons maintained hundred percent record in the second phase of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) premiership when the youthful LFA premier outfit flogged heavy weight, Mighty Barrolle 2-0 at the Nancy Doe Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.

Teku Nahn toppled LISCR’s Mohammed Varney to take pole position of the LFA Golden Boots with 12 goals after he rattled the net twice to see his side clinched the maximum three points.

In an interview with the team’s operational manager, Mr. Patrick Gborie, he told liberiansoccer.com that his boys are in top form for the title challenge.

He believes his striker; Teku Nahn is up to challenge for the LFA premiership golden boots.

In other matches played, LISCR FC was thrashed 2-0 by point donor USA FC in what was considered Gardnersville derby match.

LISCR earlier loaned three players, Sengbeh Jallah, Emmett Wleh and Roosevelt Blity to USA in an effort to strength their squad and declared them eligible to play the match.

One of the players, Emmett Wleh served as Captained for USA against his former club, LISCR FC.

The match was considered rejected stones sinking LISCR FC.

At the D.Tweh pitch in New Kru Town, Invincible Eleven (IE) edged Monrovia Club Breweries 1-0, while UMC Roots and Margibi County based Mighty Blue Angels settled to a goalless draw in Unification Town, Margibi County.

On Saturday in the only match in the LFA premiership, lackluster defending champions, Black Star and UMC Roots also settled to goalless draw.

The league continues today with more exciting matches.
