Bullish Liberian international George Gebro is in Israel as he aims
to end his club drought. The harder worker who has been out of
contract since his stint in Hungary according to reports arrived in
Israel on Sunday evening through the initiative of fellow Liberian
Victor Carr's manager.
Carr who plies his trade with second league side Meccabi Herzliya
was in Hungary for two seasons as his ties with the former
Invincible Eleven man was tightened.
In the next few weeks, the multi functional Gebro will go on trial
at top flight side Hapoel Petatikwa who are in such of industrious
players in the middle of the park to compete with the elites.
If Gebro is successful he will be just the second Liberian in the
Israeli top flight as midfield enforcer Dulee Johnson is at
struggling Meccabi Telaviv.
