Gbemie goes on loan

Written by Horatio Bobby Willie

Liberian youth international David Gbemie has been sent on loan by the academy team of Bolton Wanderers.

Gbemie has been loaned out to a lower league club Burscough FC for the rest of the season.

Burscough FC Manager Andy Mutch said they were gratified to welcome the Liberian player to their club at Victoria Park.

Andy Mutch said Gbemie’s arrival at the club would add flavor and skills to the club’s defense.

He has already featured in two games for the club since his late November move.

Aged 18, David has already featured and scored for the reserves at Bolton Wanderers where he has played since the age of 13.

David Gbemie is yet to feature for Liberia after turning down several calls from current national coach Antoine Hey.

Bolton’s decision to loan the player is to give him playing time and experience in league football before selling him or bringing him to the premiership squad.

Burscough FC currently plays in the Conference North league in England.
