( 02/03/2004)Monrovia-The Gardnersville Under-16 squad has over the weeks been producing some sparkling results against larger opponents.

      The matches are intended to sell the young talents that have been surfacing from the township of Gardnersville.

     The Gardnersville Under-16 had the Swedish based Liberian player Dioh Williams and Sekou Monuba of IE as guest stars when it nailed Anthony Langford and Friends from Logan Town 5-4 on January 3, 2004 in Barnersville.

     Dioh Williams grabbed a hat trick for the Gardnersville Under-16. Under the watchful eyes of youth soccer promoter and coach, Jean Wleh Bedell, the Gardnersville Under-16 won 2-0 against a selection of premier league players including Toe Bryant, Nuzohn Kulalah, Amadou Cooper and Ezekiel Doegbah on Sunday, January 11, 2004. Melvin Kicmett and Exodus Cain got the goals.

      Thereafter, the Gardnersville Under-16 drew 1-1 with New Kru Town based Diamond FC at the D. Twe pitch. Melvin Kicmett scored the Gardnersville Under-16's lone goal.

       A day latter, the Gardnersville Under-16 and second division outfit Karn United settled to a scoreless draw at the Barnersville Estate pitch.

       The Gardnersville Under-16 coach Jean Wleh Bedell said the squad is a promotional program that intends to expose the rising talents of Liberian football.

       Bedell said already his young players have been catching the eyes of clubs in the Premier and second divisions.

        He disclosed that Mandia Rennie, a striker, would be joining LISCR FC, while Bobby Williams, a midfielder, and another striker, Morris Dukuly are on the verge of becoming players of Millennium FC. The Gardnersville Under-16 goalkeeper, as stated by Bedell, is a target of Karn United.
