Former SWAL Boss Gives To I.E Again!

                                  Mr. Momolu V .O. Sirleaf

The former President of the Sports Writer Association of Liberia and at Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Mr. Momolu V .O. Sirleaf has again donated to one of the country’s biggest football teams, the Invincible Eleven (I.E).

At his Health Ministry office on Thursday May 7, Mr. Sirleaf presented to the team three footballs valued at US$105.00 for use by the team during the ongoing Liberia Football Association Premiership campaign competition.

I.E head Coach Gborboe who took delivery of the balls commended Mr. Sirleaf for the gesture.
He further called on staunch supporters of I.E to follow the good example of the Mr. Momolu Sirleaf.

The former SWAL boss, who is now making policy for government at the Health Ministry after a decade and a half as a journalist, said nothing can be more exciting than finding yourself in a policy-making position at a high level in management.

Since he returned to the country months ago in an effort to contribute his quota to the country’s rebuilding process, Invincible Eleven has benefited from several such gestures.

Interestingly Mr. Sirleaf’s donation has come at the time when players of team have been in the media recently calling for support following their 2-1 defeat by KC AK in the Premiership race at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.

Invincible Eleven is presently on the 18 teams’ project with seven points from seven matches played.

Since the start of the antagonism they have recorded only one victory, four draws and two defeats.

It can be recalled that the top Health Ministry official on one occasion saved I.E from disgrace when they got stranded in Kakata at the Nancy B. Doe Sports pitch in Margibi County where they had gone to play a league match. He provided US$100.00 for the team return’s to Monrovia.
