Kadalah Selects 25-Man
Provisional Squad

May 13, 2003 The Technical
Manager of the National Football Teams, the Lone Star and U-23, Mr.
Kadalah Kromah has selected a 25-man provisional squad for the pending
Olympic Qualifier against the Black Meteors of Ghana slated for June
this year.
According to a release from the Liberia Football
Association (LFA), those selected are Isaac Tondo,Varney Boakai,
Mark J. Adoe (LPRC Oilers), Rufus Salue, Frederick Vah, Solomon
Grimes, Takpor Sonkarliey (Mighty Barrolle), Sackie Doe, Blame Weah,
Emmanuel Gbamy, Kpannah Doe, and Sekou Monuba (IE). Others are Henry
Gobah, Anthony Langford, Hoff Fannoh, Steve Nagbe Anthony Taylor
(LISCR FC), Isaac Popu (Breweries), Joel Outland (Mark professionals),
Alphan Allen (Black Star), Little Lewis (Bassa Defenders), Bill Paytoe,
Sam Doe (KUSA) and Titus Nippy (Defense Invaders).
The U-23 team is expected to begin training
shortly after which the final squad will be selected for the Ghana
Black Meteors match next month.
The 2004 Olympic Qualifiers is played among U-23
teams with Africa being given only four spaces.
In another development, the senior national team
is scheduled to take on Ethiopia on June 8 in Monrovia in continuation
of the 2004 African Cup of Nations’ qualifiers.
The Ministry of Youth and the Liberia Football
Association (LFA) recently arranged a fund-raising tourney for the
teams to start training.
