Female
U-20 Moves To Camp Today, 20 Players On Board

May 3, 2006
The Liberia National U-20 female team is expected to move to camp
today May 3, ahead of the second leg match with their Nigerian
counterpart on the third round of the final stage of the FIFA Woman
Cup qualifiers.
The early preparation by the Liberia female U-20 team is due to
their first result when they fought their Nigerian counterpart to a
one all draw at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS).
The team's Head Coach Lucretius Togba has shortlisted 20 players to
move to camp at the Teachers Launch on the Kakata Highway out
Monrovia.
The 20 players include Mamie Karmara, Miatta Jallabah, Florence
Monboe, Savanna Jerboe, Dehkontee Sayon and Bargzaon Barwee.
Others are Jesting Jipply, Monica Cooper, Christiana Myer, Famatta
Dean, Amelia Washington and Bendu Goi.
The rest are Cherie Sayon, Patience Williams, Shirley Dolo, Miatta
Zinnah, Chathnne Deweld, Cecelia Seliboe, Cynnie George, and
Aicvaline Tolbert.
The Liberia National U-20 female team needs a win or two all draw to
be at Russia while Nigeria only needs a draw to book the ticket.
At the same time Chairman of female soccer at the local football
house David Kortie has commended the team for their performance on
Saturday against the Nigerian counterpart.
According to him, pulling a draw against highly rated side that has
played in both African and World cups means our girls have the
talent but only need to be supported.
The female chairman noted that Liberia U-20 female team should not
be overlooked because of the draw.
He is confident that the team can pull a victory in Nigeria in the
second leg match provided they are motivated.
The National U-20 female team will leave the country for Nigeria
next Wednesday.
