Liberia Female National U-20 received a major boost when they received
a consignment of football equipment from Liberia International
Coordinator for Youth and Sports Steve Barnashall Davis. Making the
donation on Tuesday, Mr. Davis said the donation was being made as a
means of bringing to the fore the highly rated sponsorship deal
between the LFA and the South African based company DITIRO. The
donation which was made at the ATS was witnessed by a cross section of
sports enthusiasts and journalists alike.
DITIRO is expected to provide sponsorship for the various National
teams, and Mr. Davis who is also a FIFA badge agent Maintained that
sponsorship from DITIRO in other areas like supporting the National
league would come to the fore, but warned of patience in the exercise.
Pundits have hailed the efforts of Mr. Davis, and are calling on other
well meaning Liberians to emulate his examples as the Female team is
in dire need of support.
After qualifying against their Guinean counterparts who withdrew from
the competition the U-20 are expected to face a tough test against
Algeria later this month to see who cruise to Russia in the World
Female U-20 championship.
Details of Mr. Davis mammoth donation comes to light on Tuesday.
