Fallah Johnson’s Wife Seeks His Release

By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.

Following the protracted imprisonment of her husband, Mrs. Cecelia Johnson has described the current situation with former national football team defender Fallah Johnson as critical.

The former Mighty Barrolle and LPRC Oilers central defender and right full back has been put in prison in Asia for a while now.

His wife lamented, “He got a job in Indonesia and chose to get a visa in Thailand but he was told his passport expired. So, he told a friend to fix a passport but later it was said to have had problem. That’s why he is in jail since February 2010.”

Mrs. Johnson then pleaded with the government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as Foreign Affairs Ministry to help seek the release of her husband.

“I went to Mr. Musa Bility to tell him and he promised to send a delegation to seek the release of my husband. I have children and my husband has not been able to cater to his children,” she cried.

According to her, condition has become so terrible that she doubts the possibility of sending her children back to school.

“His (Fallah Johnson’s) condition is not for somebody in prison. My son is harassing me about not being able to talk to his father for a long period of time.”

Fallah Johnson currently has two children, Helena, 19, and Divine, 7. They both live with their mother in Liberia.
