FRANCIS DOE WOBBLES WALSAL FC OF ENGLAND

         Rising Liberian striker Francis Doe had the prospect of wobbling fans and officials of English Nationwide side Walsal FC following a two-week long trial in England.

        Speaking to Liberiansoccer.com shortly upon arrival from the United Kingdom, the 17-year old said officials of the English Club were impressed by his concert and have signed a provisional contract with him.

    “ I played a few trial games and netted three in the first match, which came on a day after my arrival in the United Kingdom”.

                 Player Profile and Statistics

      The nimble-witted who sustained a thigh injury in one of the trials, told our reporter that much has been said about him prior to his arrival at Walsal FC, so he was tightly marked in all the trials.

      “Football in England is fast and they play largely on the wings, but I had to combine my dribbling and scoring skills to convince my coaches”, he confided.

      Francis Doe who will not sign a full professional contract until he turns 18 years on December 25 in accordance FIFA Transfer Regulation, will rejoin Walsal FC at the climax of the English Nationwide League.

     The promising talent came into the highlight of African football when he helped his Cameroonian club Tonnerre KC reach the grand final of the 2002 CAF CUP, which they lose to JS Kabylie 4-1 on aggregate.

     He was voted the best foreign player and third best overall player at the end of the 2002 Cameroonian League.
