FC AK clarify...Say Shannon was legitimate President

Written by Anthony A. Stephens

The leadership of FC AK Liberia has clarified that former Lone Star striker Musa Shannon saved the club as its president during the LFA 2008/2009 league season.

There has been huge debate in the football circle with some questioning the qualification of the former Liberian International to contest the upcoming highly political LFA elections scheduled for 20 March.

A clause in the recently released guidelines by the secretariat of the local football house requires would be candidates to be either former Secretary or President of a club-a requirement which critics of Shannon think he has not met.

But FC AK Liberia in a release said the former Lone Star forward served it as legitimate president and not acting president as being misconstrued.

The release signed by the club current president Molley Kromah termed the information as false and misleading
