Other Soccer Stars Expected For July 26

Reports reaching our sports desk indicate that Liberia’s Soccer
Ambassador George Manneh Weah is concluding arrangement for some top
African football stars to visit the country for this year’s “26”
celebration.
According to source close to Ambassador, two key players on the list
are Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon and Teribo West of Nigeria.
Although the source confirmed the accuracy of the report, he was
quick to point out that Ambassador Weah intends to take the nation
by a surprise. As such, the source said, he could not give details
about other stars on the list.
Meanwhile, several former players of both Invincible Eleven (IE) and
Mighty Barrolle confirmed the story when our reporter spoke with
them separately yesterday.
The players said, the decision was reached by Ambassador Weah during
a recent re-union football match between IE and Barrolle at the
Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.
