Dulee Johnson wants early call up

Reported by Horatio Bobby Willie

Tuesday, 15 August 2006

Liberian International  Dulee Johnson says any invitation for him to play for the national team must be sent in advance to his club so as to avoid problems.

Dulee said AIK Solna is a big club hoping to win the Swedish title this season and that the club would find it difficult to respond to last minute call-ups.

" I am one of the players AIK is depending on to make things happen this season so the club will not just release me if they receive a late request from Liberia. Everything has to be done in advance," the midfielder noted.

He said he believes it is his national duty to play for his country and that it is always an honor for him to wear the colors of the Lone star.

However, he said local football officials must ensure that nothing stands in the way.

Meanwhile, Dulee played a leading role in AIK midfield when the club won 3-1 away to Kalmar on Saturday.

The club has maintained its second position on the league table with 28 points from 14 games.

BK Hacken of Jimmy Dixon and Dioh Williams were held to a 2-all draw by neighbors Gias.Hacken with 11 points is struggling at the tail of the pack sitting at the 12 position on the 14-team table.
