03/ 02/ 2004 Monrovia-Despite the approval of US$200,000 plus by the Gyude Bryant administration, the Ministry of Finance is allegedly still delaying in releasing funds intended to run the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS).

According to the Deputy Minister for Administration,D. Max Leboe, every effort has been exhausted but the Finance Ministry has not lived up to its responsibility.

In a chat with journalists in Monrovia, Deputy Ministry Leboe said his office will mobilize the
youths through the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY), and if they continue, they will demonstrate.

He mentioned that the Finance Ministry has deliberately passed its eyes over the vouchers sent to
it by the Sports Ministry. “The Finance Ministry has failed to respond to a budget that is supposed to keep the Ministry running.”
