returned to help Liberia's rebuilding
process

Striker James Debbah has
declared his intention to play a role in Liberia's 2006
World Cup and Cup of Nations qualifier against Mali.
Debbah, who quit the team after the 2002 Cup of Nations
in Mali, said his decision to return to the Lone Star was in
the spirit of national reconciliation.
"This is a period of national reconciliation and peace. As a
Liberian, I'm moved to rejoin the squad.

"I hope my example will lead other overseas players to
return also," Debbah said.
Debbah said he had intimated Liberia's football officials of
what he thought was needed to secure victory in the 6 June
encounter.
"I told the officials that it was important that they
made sure most of those called up arrive in time.
Oliver Makor of Ionikos in Greece, Zizi Roberts of MLS
club Colorado Rapids and Prince Daye are the players Debbah
thinks are needed in the squad.
"My coming back to the team does not mean we will win.
"We need experienced players and my participation will be
doubtful if these players do not show up."
Manager Kadala Kromah called up a total of nine
overseas-based players to beef up his squad for the game.
"The World Cup qualifiers is a tough competition and we
need experienced and top quality players, especially for
this match against a highly-rated team like Mali."
