DITIRIO Preparing To Cancel Deal

by Horatio Bobby Willie
Thursday, 09 November 2006

The DITIRIO Sports Communication and Management Company has announced it has started the process to cancel its agreement with the Liberia Football Association.

The Chief Executive Officer of DITIRIO Liberia Office told a news conference that they have forwarded a formal communication to the LFA stating its desire pull out of the deal.

Mr. Steve Davis said the agreement calls for a three-month notice before the cancellation of the deal.

Mr. Davis accused the LFA of giving his group negative publicity although it was keeping its side of the deal.

He also accused the group of breaking the MOU by engaging other sponsors without the involvement of DITIRIO.

Mr. Davis said the issue of confidence and trust between his group and the LFA have been broken.

Meanwhile the founder and chief Executive Officer of DITIRIO has denied that his entity was falling back on the agreement with the LFA.

Mr. Joseph Clotty told a teleconference from South Africa that his entity has not benefited from the LFA but rather it was only helping Liberia.

Mr. Clotty denied local media reports that his representative Steve Davis was receiving money to buy materials for the national team.

The South African Football Tycoon said they were only shipping materials to Liberia based on the request of Mr. Davis.

Mr. Clotty however said his entity was still willing to assist Liberia in whatever way it could.
