Cancels Sponsorship Deal With LFA - December 4th 2006

Chief Executive Officer of
DITIRIO-Liberia office, Steve Davis
There are reports that the South African
Sports Firm, DITIRIO has cancelled its sponsorship deal with the
Liberia Football Association (LFA). According to the report, DITIRIO
cancelled the agreement due to what the group called lack of
corporation from the LFA.
Under the agreement, DITIRIO was to
provide training equipments and other technical support to the
various national teams, but some LFA officials said, DITIRIO was not
living up to the term of the contract. A local club president, in a
recent interview, said, they were not seeing the support from
DITIRIO to the national teams and therefore, they wanted explanation
about the contract.
The LFA Vice President for Operation,
Adolphus Lawrence, said, his office had no knowledge about the
contract. Mr. Lawrence said only the Vice President for
Administration and the FA President had idea about materials and
other assistants given the Football Association.
A document for the cancellation of the deal between DITIRIO and LFA
has been submitted to the Liberia Football Association. The local
football house is expected to give its reaction to DITIRIO’s
decision
