A Liberian coach residing in Ghana says he wants to coach one of the
National soccer teams of the country.
Coach Clarence Lee Chea who works as a Deputy Coach on MTN Soccer
Academy in Ghana says he wants to manage the U-20 National team.
He said he has decided to manage the team because of his admiration
for the youths.
Coach Lee Chea said he was willing to abandon his personal engagement
in Ghana to perform the duty.
Former Lone Star skipper Joe Nagbe was in June of this year appointed
to the post for three months but he has since complained of the lack
of support from both the LFA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
There have also been verbal exchanges between the both institutions
regarding the appointment of the former Lone Star central defender to
the job.
The LFA through its Acting Secretary General Sam Bedford claimed that
the Ministry approved of the appointment of Joe Nagbe as Head Coach of
the U-20 National team but Deputy Youth and Sports Minister for Sports
Marbue Richards said the Ministry was not aware of the decision.
But Coach Clarence Lee Chea said despite those situations he hopes to
get the needed support from either side to undertake the task.
