 Coach Lee on academy research

A Liberian based in Ghana has arrived in the country to begin research work for the possible construction of a soccer academy.

Clarence Chea popularly known as Coach Lee told Star Radio modalities are being worked out between him and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to have the plan materialized.

Coach Chea disclosed that a muti million dollar Arab owned cell phone Company operating in Ghana Zing Communications would under take the initiative.

He said the purpose for the construction of the football academy, is to discover and develop young soccer stars in the country.

Coach Chea further disclosed that the company is interested in sponsoring the National league as well as the inter school league.

News of the building of a soccer academy in country has been in the media for the past two months.

An International sports group the Right to Dream was the first to announce its interest in constructing a football academy.

The construction of the academy by either group will be the first of its kind in the country.
