After scrutinizing several
applications from some of Liberia’s renowned coaches for the position
of Head Coach of the Mighty Barrolle football team, the club has
tipped coach Hassay Dwehgo for the position.
According to information gathered from the
club, out of the many applications that were received from the
coaches, only two coaches sat for the interview for the job.
The two coaches that attended the
interview were, former NPA Anchor head coach, Frank J. Nagbe and
Hassay Dwehgo, who is a former deputy coach of Monrovia Black Stars.
According to the club’s Assistant Secretary
General, Philemon Menyon, coach Dwehgo has been preferred to the
former NPA head coach, Frank J. Nagbe for what he called “few
reasons.”
Mr. Menyon added that following their
background investigations, they have realized that coach Dwehgo is
moderate, less expansive and has the administrative know how of the
game, something he said, the Mighty Barrolle Sports Association was
highly interested in so as to adequately prepare the team for the
up-coming league season.
Coach Dwehgo once served as Head Coach of
Cardinal FC; Deputy Coach of LISCR and was serving as Deputy Coach of
Black Star before applying for the job.
The BSA noted that the selection of coach Dwehgo
to lead Mighty Barrolle in the next league season is timely because as
they termed it, he has the credential and skills that are needed for a
good coach.
Meanwhile, the club is presently under
going intensive training sections after the arrival of some newly
recruited players, some of whom have been signed on by the club.
The club said, despite their poor
performances in the last league season, they are heavily preparing to
face the challenges in the up-coming league. |
