A former official of the Invincible Eleven (IE), Murphy Karnneh, is calling for the resignation of the Technical Director of the National Soccer Team, Coach Kardala Kromah, before the team's next match against Togo on July 4 in the joint African-World Cups qualification series.

Mr. Kanneh, speaking to The Analyst last Thursday, said he was surprised over the statement from the head coach that he took with him to Congo Brazzaville an immature team which was apparently responsible for the team's 3-0 defeat.

The IE official described the coach's statement as frustrating and discouraging for the team's qualification, and that for uttering such a statement, the Coach needed to resign as head of the technical team.

He also said the statement has raised more credibility questions for Coach Kardala since in fact he does not know the kind of team he put together.

According to Mr. Kanneh, who is a member of the Alpha Social and Athletic Club, there is no reason why Coach Kromah must remain as head coach when in fact he has criticized what he has built as a team for the country.

He argued that the Coach's action has also proven that he is lacking in technical skills that are required for a coach, adding that no good coach would criticized what he has built over a period.

Although could not reached over the weekend for his reaction, but a source close to Coach Kromah has described Mr. Kanneh's assertion as unfortunate.

The source, who preferred to remain anonymous said calling for the resignation of Coach Kromah was not the way forward, and added that the Coach's criticism of the team he built is to show that he knew he still has more work to do than relax.

Speaking to The Analyst further, the former IE official has also lashed out at the acting President of the Liberia Football Association; Cllr. Izetta Wesley for her recent statement against professional players that they were too demanding as compared to the home based players.

Mr. Kanneh noted that the LFA Boss' statement has the propensity of damaging the team campaign in the joint African-World Cups competitions.

He further pointer out that if Liberia must make an significant impact in these competition, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Liberia Football Association should begin to strengthen the relationship with the professional players in order to return for the remaining matches.
