Sports Writers for Job Well Done

Following more than two decades of existence, the new leadership of
the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) last Friday
dedicated a new headquarters of the Association.
Acquiring a Headquarters for the Association was one of the campaign
promises of the new SWAL leadership, headed by Isaac Yeah as
President.
Impressively, not only getting a Headquarters was acquired, but one
that is well furnished with modern equipment including computers and
other facilities that enable members, friends and associates to be
on top of information from across the globe.
Although belated for an organization like the SWAL, I strongly feel
that the achievement is commendable taking into consideration the
need and convenience of a headquarters in which you can proudly do
your reports, have meetings, host international guests among others.
Moreover, the dedication of the SWAL's Headquarters suitably located
in the heart of town on Broad Street just few months after the
deadly fighting in Monrovia is something very laudable.
The achievement of the Isaac Yeah Administration in so short a time
clearly indicates that one can fulfill his promises or desires once
you are committed and dedicated to you organization without putting
personal publicity ahead of your goals.
The improvement of SWAL has been wanting for a very long time. And
with the quick positive impact the new leadership has made, it is
hoped that the era of sustained improvement is at hand.
As a member of the SWAL, I sincerely commend all those individuals
who have and continued to help the new leadership fulfill some of
its promises of improvement.
