Lone Star's A-1 goalie, Boye Pratt is now a
hot cake in Addis Ababa following his magnificent performance in the
1-0 loss to Ethiopia. Goalie Pratt is being sought by Ethiopia's
richest team, St. George for a contract. The Goalie was approached
right after Lone Star's match against Ethiopia.
From what was disclosed to our reporter traveling
with the Lone Star, the team is willing to offer US$1,500 per month, a
round trip ticket, an apartment, medical, insurance among others. Up
to press time, St. George's officials were still negotiating with the
Goalie and his promoter.
When the goalie was asked whether he intends staying in
Addis, he said although there are other packages in the making for him
in Europe, he will take advantage now and move to Europe as soon as
those offers are ripe.
Goalie Boye Pratt was at his best in the match in
Addis. He saved a penalty splendidly and thwarted the several
Ethiopian goal chances. Had the referee not awarded a fake indirect
kick in the 18 yard box, Boye Pratt would not have conceded a goal. Up
to present, the Hotel where the Lone Star is being accommodated is
swamped minute by minute by hundreds of Ethiopians who are hungry to
catch a closer glimpse of goalie Boye Pratt.
Even Ethiopia's German coach paid homage to goalie Pratt.
